Delivery signed for by 'Rural'
Certain areas of New Zealand are defined as rural or non-urban, meaning they fall outside our regularly serviced Business and Residential Delivery Zones. While we do offer delivery to these areas, transit times are typically an additional 2–3 business days compared to our standard service, due to the lower density of deliveries.
What does ‘signed for by rural’ mean?
This means your parcel has been handed over to the rural delivery agent for the final stages of delivery. Due to the nature of deliveries to rural addresses, a signature cannot be collected at the point of delivery. Once your parcel has been processed by the rural agent, please allow an additional 2–3 business days for delivery.
What are Rural/Non-Urban areas?
Post Haste Group defines rural/non-urban areas as locations outside our regularly serviced Business and Residential Delivery Zones. This classification may differ from that used by other courier or postal companies. You can use the Address checker tool to verify whether your address falls within a rural or non-urban area.
How long does it take for a parcel to arrive at a Rural/Non-Urban address?
Please allow 4–5 business days for parcels destined for rural or non-urban addresses. Due to the lower density of deliveries in these areas, deliveries are made less frequently than in standard Business and Residential Delivery Zones.
How to reduce waiting times for parcels sent to Rural/Non-Urban addresses?
You can have your parcel delivered to one of our Delivery link Partners, located within our regularly serviced areas. Simply contact your local Delivery Link Partner so they are expecting your parcel, and have it addressed to them. They will hold it securely for you, and you can pick it up at a time that is convenient.
